Young Visionaries is designed to meet the needs of SLO homeschooling families, providing a drop-off enrichment program that gives students an opportunity to make friends and engage in hands on, design based group activities. Courses encourage students to tap into their unique sense of style and creativity and use it to design projects within a group setting. This approach deepens their self-knowledge, inspires confidence, and fosters teamwork and self-expression.
Our mission is to inspire positive self reflection, creative expression, and collaborative problem solving in a fun and supportive group atmosphere.
Rooted in the principles of design based learning, Young Visionaries encourages all students to tap into their own creative, inner worlds and use this as an impetus to design projects within a group, deepening their own knowledge of themselves while inspiring confidence, self-expression, and teamwork.
Classes include a mixture of 3D design challenges and fun and physically engaging games involving creative movement, music, and short skits. Due to the depth and focus of the design challenges, classes are for ages 6-12 only at this time with some exceptions depending on the student. Students can sign up for one or more days.

Design-based learning transforms the classroom into a workshop of ideas, where students learn by doing and are empowered to create meaningful solutions to real-world challenges.
