Young Visionaries is designed to meet the needs of SLO homeschooling families, providing a drop-off enrichment program that gives students an opportunity to make friends and engage in weekly group learning activities. Courses encourage students to tap into their unique sense of style and creativity and use it to design projects within a group setting. This approach deepens their self-knowledge, inspires confidence, and fosters teamwork and self-expression.
Our mission is to inspire positive self reflection, creative expression, and collaborative problem solving in a fun and supportive group atmosphere.
Rooted in the principles of design based learning, Young Visionaries will encourage all students to tap into their own creative, inner worlds and use this as an impetus to design projects within a group, deepening their own knowledge of themselves while inspiring confidence, self-expression, and teamwork.
Classes are meant to be progressive, with each class building upon the workings of the last one. Each class will occur one day per week with projects spanning across several months at a time. Classes for ages 6-12, roughly, for now. Students can sign up for one or both days.
